Grammar and Vocabulary is a book in the Routledge ‘English Language Introductions’, which ‘cover core areas of language study and are one-stop resources for students’, and this volume provides an ‘accessible and user-friendly textbook for all students of English language and linguistics’. It is divided into four major sections (A-D), each of which are divided into sub-sections labelled A1-8, B1-8, C1-8 and D1-8, so that the book can be read ‘vertically’ from beginning to end or ‘horizontally’ taking all the sub-sections numbered 1 and so on.
